The Artist
Sri Ganapaty Sachchidananda Swamiji (Sri Swamiji) travels the world to help seekers discover that everything is God. Devotees find compassion, love and knowledge. He guides all on the path of Yoga sadhana (practice), to discover and realise their true self. Through his self composed music, he helps the seeker to reach a higher stage by spiritual energy transmission. He is a music maestro who plays Ayurvedic (holistic) healing ragas on an electronic synthesizer, accompanied by musicians on classical Indian instruments. Devotees around the world claim to have received immense benefit through his concerts, everything from physical healing to spiritual guidance and great outpourings of divine love. Sri Swamiji is a silent teacher who teaches through love and devotion. To experience ‘Him’ is to begin to know one’s own true self.
Sri Swamiji says,
“We are all the children of the same Almighty and therefore we should not treat any religion as inferior. By thinking that our religion is superior to other religions, we are in fact moving away from God.”
The followers (Devotees) of UK have been fortunate to host several musical concerts of Sri Swamiji since the charities inception in 1991. The concept of Music Therapy is a fairly new concept for the western world to help mankind to manage stress and health conditions but within the Indian culture, the concept that ‘sound’ and Ayurvedic (holistic) healing ragas (Musical notations) stimulate positive energy that may stimulate a healing effect.
